Meet your Marin Boxing Coach
A fitness professional for over thirty years
Hello there! I’m Gamal Chasten, the proud owner of Marin Boxing. With a passion for fitness that has spanned over three decades, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others achieve their fitness goals.
In 1995, I earned my first personal training certification through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and I haven’t looked back since. I’m certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), TRX, and USA Boxing, ensuring that I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to you training sessions.
My journey into the world of fitness began with martial arts training, inspired by my childhood hero, Bruce Lee. I was also greatly influenced by the legendary Muhammad Ali, and these icons motivated me to not only train but also compete in amateur boxing and martial arts tournaments.
My expertise lies in boxing coaching and sports-specific training, but I also have a special place in my heart for working with our senior community. We offer a special program for those experiencing Parkinson’s Disease. Utilizing boxing has been proven to slow down the progression of the disease and to improve overall movement, balance, and confidence. We’re happy to offer this training at our facility or in the comfort of your own home.
At Marin Boxing, we’re committed to providing top-notch fitness training, whether you’re looking to lose weight, improve your fitness, or train for a specific sport. I’m here to guide, motivate, and inspire you on your fitness journey, just like my heroes did for me.
